The Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 31st, beginning at 9:00 am. The parade route is starting at South Main Street and Harrison, heading North to 2nd Street, then East to the Veteran's Memorial.

Show your community pride and spirit! Join Novi’s Memorial Day Parade -new floats and organizations are welcome! We invite all Veterans, bands, scout troops, kids, businesses and other civic organizations to be a part of this wonderful annual event. Form a group or create a float to march proudly through Novi, showcasing community pride and spirit! Following the parade, join us for the Veterans memorial service at the Novi Civic Center. The parade will begin at Ten Mile and Karim Blvd and will travel west along Ten Mile to the Civic Center.

Milford Memorial Day Parade (11:00 AM)
Location: downtown Milford
Details: Memorial Day is a time to set aside our work in order to remember and honor those who lost their lives in the service of our country and support those who served in wartime, as well as all the men and women who have served or are presently serving in the Armed Forces.
Parade begins at the American Legion Hall on Commerce Road and ends with a brief ceremony at Central Park. If you would like to march in the parade or would like more information, contact Joseph Salvia at 313-701-8000.

Community Pancake Breakfast will be held prior to the Parade from 8:00 am - 10:00 at the Senior Citizen Center. All are Welcome! All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast!

Parade Proceeds north on John R from 12 Mile to 13 Mile; then west on 13 Mile past City Hall.

I apologize for posting this late. I find sooo many freebies everyday, and sometimes I forget to blog about one! I hope that some of my fellow "Michiganders" will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor art gallery at the Village of Rochester Hills. On Sunday, May 23, 2010 it will host Fine Art at the Village of Rochester Hills.

Nearly 100 artists from across the United States have been invited to show their work at Fine Art at the Village of Rochester Hills. An outside panel of experts jury the entries and ask artists with the highest scores to participate. Admission to the festival is free and parking is free.

Ceramics, glass, painting, drawing, multi-media, sculpture, photography, fiber art, wood, jewelry and more will be featured. The festival is sponsored by Creative Arts Council, a non-profit art group. A panel of experts will judge the artwork and award outstanding entries.

Kiddlieklub of Rochester Hills, will be sponsoring the children’s activities. Kiddieklub will be hosting arts and crafts for the children and face painting. The hours for the children’s activities will be from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

There will also be live entertainment throughout the fair.
