Earlier this month I promised a second review of an item from
CSN Stores. I am finally able to post that review! At the time, I wasn't sure if I would purchase a
table lamp or something else from one of the more 200 CSN Stores. After taking two days to go through the many products offered by CSN Stores, I finally made my decision.
I decided on something I actually needed- a coffeemaker. For those of you who have been following me, you know that I am more of a tea drinker, but every now and then I want a cup of coffee. Plus it's always nice to have a coffeemaker in the house when you are having company over. Luckily I was given the opportunity to review an item right after my coffee pot broke.
For the review, I chose the
Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Coffeemaker priced at $42.99 plus shipping. Being the
Bargain Mom I am, I did a quick search on the internet to see if I could find the same product at a lower price elsewhere. If you can remember from my
previous CSN Stores post, they offer price matching! I was able to find the exact same item priced at $35.99 on another website. I sent an email to CSN on August 10th requesting a price match. At that time I sent a link to the webpage page of the lower priced item. A customer service rep responded back on August 11th requesting my shipping zipcode. I responded back the same day. It was August 17th before I heard back from the customer service rep. She explained that she had been on vacation and the product was out of stock on the website I gave her. I am thinking to myself, "It wasn't out of stock when I sent you the link on August 10th" (It would've been nice if another rep could've have handled her emails while she was away). The representative also said, if I found the product at a lower price on another site, she would be happy to look into a price match. The very same day, I found the same coffeemaker for $35.00 on another website. I sent the rep a link to that webpage and waited on a response. On August 18th, eight days after my initial request, I received an email saying that
CSN Stores would match the price I found. I was finally able to proceed with the purchase. Instead of ordering online, I had to call the 1-800 number to redeem my discount code.
When I called the 1-800 number my wait to speak with a customer service rep was less than 30 seconds. The representative was very friendly and the process was very easy and fast. I was on the phone less than five minutes! The item was shipped the very next day, and I received it two days later. So, it took 11 days from the day I sent the price match request to the day I received my coffeemaker.
The Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Coffeemaker arrived securely, double-boxed in a box from
CSN Stores and the original box from Hamilton Beach. I quickly unpacked my coffeemaker to give it a try. There was no assembly! All I had to do was wash the coffee pot and filter basket, and plug the coffeemaker into the wall!
I love the stylish look of the coffeemaker. As you can see from the pictures, the actual coffee pot can be seen from the front and back. I was able to easily set the clock on the coffeemaker, and it was very simple to program it to have a full pot of coffee the next morning. I really enjoy the auto-shutoff after 2 hours, since I am a bit forgetful- o.k. really forgetful! I have used my Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Coffeemaker a lot in the last week, and I do not have any complaints! It is stylish, fast and most importantly- AFFORDABLE! I would recommend this coffeemaker to anyone.
