If you've been following me for a while, then you remember a few months back I did a review of an item from EdenFantasys. EdenFantasys has an assortment of fun items including: adult toys, lingerie, aromatherapy candles and more! Look Good…Feel Better provides information and cosmetic advice to women battling cancer. Offered free of charge, the session is on November 22 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Shoreline Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in South Haven, MI.

Look Good…Feel Better provides information and cosmetic advice to women battling cancer. Offered free of charge, the session is on Monday, November 22 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Shoreline Rehabilitation & Wellness Center, 950 South Bailey Avenue, South Haven, MI.

This program includes hands-on instruction on make-up, skin care, and suggestions for using wigs, turbans, and scarves. Cosmetic kits are provided for personal makeovers by trained cosmetologists.

“We are proud to offer this service to our community with the help of our community partners – South Haven Community Hospital and the American Cancer Society,” states Terri Dotson, Community Relations Representative, Hospice at Home. “This program can make a huge difference in a woman’s life during a very difficult time. It provides loving care, compassionate advice, and camaraderie at a time when a woman needs it most,” continues Dotson.

Participants must register by November 17 by calling the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.

Halloween is a fun time for kids and adults, but it can be scary for your pets. Here are 5 tips from the Kalamazoo Humane Society to keep your pets safe.

T - Trick-or-treaters in costume may spook household pets. Keep animals inside and away from the door while greeting Halloween guests. A gate or pen can be used as a barrier to prevent pets from darting out the door.

R - Refrain from giving candy or other Halloween treats to animals especially chocolate which can be toxic to cats, dogs and ferrets. Keep the candy bowl out of your pet’s reach. Wrappers, foil, lollipop sticks and plastic parts can pose a danger if ingested. Instead, give goodies made specifically for your pet like dog biscuits or cat treats.

E - Ease stress by keeping animals in a secluded and quiet part of your home. Pets may become unnerved by the constant ringing of the doorbell or the onslaught of visitors in strange costumes. To help keep them calm, play soft music or use the television as a distraction.

A - Avoid having candles and Jack-O’-Lanterns within range of your pet. A wagging tail or rambunctious playtime could cause a lit pumpkin to become a fire hazard, singe or even burn your beloved pet.

T - Tags on your pet’s collar to identify them is a must. If your pet escapes and becomes lost, an ID tag or microchip increases the likelihood that they will be returned to you.
