REVIEW:

I was able to review an item from Future Oxygen, and I chose the Butterfly Pendant. The beautiful pendant grows into a white pine tree! The pendant itself looks like a piece of square clay tile. The art work looks hand-painted, giving the item a very unique and pretty look. The pendant hangs on what looks like a piece of twine, and is easy to put on and take off. All you have to do is put the knotted end into the loop on the other end. I like that their are no cumbersome clasps to bother with. The pendant is water-resistant, so a little water won't hurt it, but the card that comes with the pendant advises against wearing it while swimming, or it might start to grow! I gave my pendant to my 10 year old daughter and she loves it! She looks forward to planting it in two years.

I really like that Care4Hire allows me to search for caregivers near my home. I can use the drop down menu on the homepage to choose what type of caregiver I am looking for, then I enter my zip code. The caregivers are then shown by the last time they logged in. Without a membership you are able to see the providers picture, name, age, last login, location, level of education, language spoken, if they have a vehicle, and if they smoke. You are also able to see their experience, interests, expected pay, and availability. With a paid membership you can view references and the information to contact the provider.

I really like that the caregivers may be contacted for one time use or for permanent placement. The profiles are very detailed, and you can learn a lot about the providers before contacting them. I do not like that I have to do my own reference and background check on providers. It will be helpful and less time consuming if this was included in the subscription.

Each Monday I will feature a new reader tip to help us all save money. The tip can be on anything from saving on birthday parties to making homemade cleaners. I know it sounds crazy but I don't use garbage bags. I think they are silly and a waste of money. And I never have a dirty garbage can. Ask me how I do it.

Of course I asked! And here is what Judy said,

‎1) Recycling is not dirty or messy Wash the bottles and cans

2) if you have a garbage disposal use it. Don't scrap, rinse to the disposal, cut veggies in the sink and use the disposal, banana peels orange rind almost all can go in the di...sposal, but not stringy things like corn silk and I think celery can but I don't just in case. Don't put in real hard things like bones or nut shells. No disposal see #4

3) There is only a tinny winny bit of garbage that can't go in disposal see #4


4) For no disposal and the tinny winny from above I know there is very little real garbage even if you have no disposal. Get creative drain the liquid on the bottom of the cereal bowl use that chip bag or cookie bag or box, use that napkin you just used and are throwing in the garbage. Use a can and put it upright in the kitchen garbage can just before you take it out.


PS do not collect garbage, empty at night after dinner if you have to you just rinse the kitchen can.

I grew up in Albany NY and they only had weekly garbage pickup no trash and they were real strict. If it had any trash and they just left it. I can tell you that a family of 5 had less then one shopping bag of garbage a week. They sold, at the store,( these little bags about the size of a poop bag with a holder (sat on the counter) that you used for daily garbage and that is all we used. Albany did pick up trash but only monthly so you better not put the garbage in with the trash it would get real smelly.

Today's kids will need training I grew up with it and so did my kids so no training needed.

I do not use garbage bags at all ever. And I rarely even have to rinse the kitchen can and so what if you do.
